The craft…
An immersive, stylish set that the actors can interact with, allowing the audience to get lost in the story.
The brief
To fabricate a 4-sided theatre set, comprising of walls, ceiling and light-up floor, for the actors to interact with and tell the story in the theme of a recording studio.
The concept
Creating a recording studio room comprising of soundproofed walls, a reinforced light-up floor, a light-up window and signage
The Creation
After fabricating the stage flats for the walls and ceilings, we then lined them with acoustic panels in different sizes to give the set depth and the recording studio feel. Then, we constructed the reinforced light-up floor by building a custom timber frame decking with 15mm opal perspex. To finish, we then constructed the window and signage and finished of with lighting elements.
